Barber (Full-Time / Part-Time)

Position Summary

The Barber provides professional grooming services, including haircuts, shaving, beard trimming, and related grooming services to clients in a barbershop setting. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting a welcoming and inclusive environment for all clients.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide haircuts, fades, shaves, beard trims, and other grooming services in accordance with client preferences and industry standards

• Consult with clients to determine style preferences and provide professional recommendations

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and common areas in compliance with state and local regulations

• Sterilize equipment and follow all safety and infection control procedures

• Manage client appointments and ensure timely service delivery

• Build and maintain positive client relationships to encourage repeat business

• Stay current with grooming trends, techniques, and industry best practices

• Assist with general shop duties to support daily operations.

• Assist with opening and closing duties to support daily operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid PA Barber or Cosmetology License issued by the state licensing board

• Demonstrated experience in barbering or cosmetology services

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

• Ability to maintain professional hygiene and adhere to sanitation standards

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Work Schedule

• Full-Time: Typically 30–40 hours per week, includes evenings and weekends

• Part-Time: Typically 6–25 hours per week, based on shop needs and availability

• Schedule may vary based on client demand

Work Environment

• Barbershop environment with exposure to hair products, disinfectants, and continuous customer interaction

• Standing for long periods and frequent use of barbering tools and equipment
